Eight of those years, Mark worked for various Architecture/Engineering Companies involved in the Building/Inspection of several San Diego Public Buildings and High-rises. His attention to detail led him to a management position in the AutoCAD department of a major Environmental Engineering Firm here in San Diego.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Mark Vincent Chavez was born and raised in a quaint town called Santa Fe, New Mexico. He attended New Mexico State University (Las Cruces) and eventually graduated from The University of New Mexico (Albuquerque) in 1988 with a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture. His combined education and work experience of over 10 years in the Architecture/Engineering field enabled him to gain practical experience as a Design professional. Following in the footsteps of his father, a Contract Specialist for the Federal Government, Mark developed an early and continuing passion of land, architecture and landscape. Growing up in a family of 6, Mark and his siblings helped their parents build their very own home which his mother and father still reside in.

Since moving to San Diego in 1988 Mark has volunteered at several non-profit agencies including St. Vincent de Paul, which is a transitional house for homeless men/women and their children. Charities close to his heart are those that service and support the under-privileged.
